The Bangor Road

This project follows the route of the old Chester to Bangor trunk road, with images taken over several walks between Llandudno Junction and Bangor. The Thomas Telford-designed road was built in the early 19th century and has been gradually replaced by the modern A55. Some sections of the old road remain, connecting small towns along the North Wales coast, while other sections have been buried underneath the route of the dual carriageway.
