East London

Before moving to North Wales, I spent most of my life living in Hackney, and I’ve witnessed the total transformation of East London since my childhood. The area has been reshaped by gentrification and development before, during, and after the 2012 Olympics. The changes to the built environment of this part of London reveal the deep economic and social divides that have only intensified over the last 30 years.
